turtles can fly

i just got home about two hours ago from the city. i saw a remarkable iranian/iraqi film called turtles can fly, which was as moving and sad as another beautiful (indian) film i saw a month ago called water. i watched it for free at the state art gallery. it was my first time going there on wednesday night. i think i'll be doing that more often now that i've realised how good the program is.

gosh, i'm so sleepy and cold. i got online just so i could deliriously rave about how wonderful turtles can fly was. how realistic and beautiful it was, despite the ugliness of what was real and true. the ugliness of war in stark contrast with the purity of children and life. it was heartbreaking.

anyway, sleepiness is taking over and i'm numb from the cold. it wasn't so cold on my way home (took the shuttle bus then the train then walked, of course ..) when did the night get so cold?

i should totally sleep now. um, after my favourite carissa's wierd song is over.

(i had other news too, a happy news, but i'll skip that today)
